Our dear busy ladybug blogger has taken a break from posting her lovely photo essays on trees to post one of the nicest reviews I’ve ever read. Come read her take on Twelve Tales of Christmas on her blog. π
Title: Twelve Tales of Christmas
Author: Cathleen Townsend
Genre: Short stories, Fiction
Synopsis
Christmas isnβt always Jingle Bells and βHo, ho, ho.β In these Twelve Tales of Christmas, even Santa has to deal with unexpected German shepherds and reindeer who suddenly want to learn the tango. A dryad works feverishly with a teenage boy to save her tree, now in a stand in his living room, and everyone begs Death to hold off for just one more day.
And no one knows what to do with the fire-breathing dragon. Heβs not going on the Christmas card list anytime soon.
Come enter worlds of beauty and dread. Join a house hob as he raises his cup of eggnog high, and enjoy yuletide yarns delicious enough to tempt even St. Nick.

Thanks so much, Jay. Facebook is one cog in the social media wheel that I really don’t get (however if you want something tweeted, I’m your gal). Your efforts are probably worth a lot more than mine in that area. π

It really is a whole gift all by itself. On Amazon the other day someone posted a review that actually thanked me for writing this book, and he said it helped him enjoy Christmas again. I was walking on air after that review and this one. π

Whew! What a relief. There’s always this little voice saying, “What if it really sucks and nobody told me…” But reviews like this help a great deal. π

It’s such a wonderful feeling. I worked so hard on this book–and now it’s finding readers.
Publishing is so hard for me that I get all wrapped up in…stuff. But this is what it’s all about, other readers reading my work. π

It was a great meeting–and productive, too. In case anyone else is wondering, we made quote memes using Terri’s photos. π

It really is. I’d write Santa for a review like that. Hey, I’d even hike part of the way in snowshoes. π
