Magical Whispers is a promising title, especially if you’re a fan of all things hobbit-y, like I am. And if you like poems and fantasy—for example, if you actually read the poems in The Hobbit and LoTR—then Ms. Singh does not disappoint.
First of all, just reading the table of contents is more interesting than is usually the case. It reads almost like a chain reaction of ideas, loosely associated yet meandering steadily to a desired destination.
Many poems, of course, are rooted in the real world, or at least the one we see all around us. But there’s a lot here specifically for fantasy lovers.
For example, Colors is literally mythic, heavily influenced by folklore, and recognizable as such,
Magic, which you might expect would be fanciful, is instead an erudite, forthright response to possibility of magic in the world,
I believe all lovers of The Wind in the Willows would like the enchanted woodland animals in Tread Softly Here,
And then there’s an actual fairy in Transient Waterfall, and as a fairy tale writer myself, that’s the sort of thing I’m very much in favor of.
Then there’s A Concert, set in misty mountains, a sublime experience, an uplifting of the soul,
And a nighttime visit from A Moon Fairy, just like you might have pictured it as a child, only with a better vocabulary.
Magic is everywhere, sometimes merely glimpsed and others the stuff of pure fantasy, like the encounter with the queen fairy mother.
So, if you could use a little magic in your life—and seriously, I think we could all use a little right now—go check out Magical Whispers. The Look Inside is here: https://www.amazon.com/Magical-Whispers-Poetry-Balroop-Singh-ebook/dp/B08KJQ6K5D/.

It was my pleasure, Balroop. And I well know the rush from getting a good review. I swear what goes on in my head is something along the lines of, “Oh, look–they really liked it.” And then sometimes I dance around a bit.
It’s hard to act cool when you’ve just gotten a good review. : )

Well, hopefully this review will help, at least a little, in getting your words in front of more people, although the whole promotion thing is still a work in progress for me. : )

Yes, I’ve reviewed several of her books and enjoyed them all. But this one, because of the fantasy element, is my favorite so far. : )
